This is a scary word to so many- Pornography isn’t going away and we are learning more and more about how it can be addictive and effects the brain the same way cocaine does. We as moms can come together and help our children fight too. But we need to become educated about what it really Is and learn how to talk about it with our kids in a healthy way to eliminate the shame.

Sometimes when things are not going as planned, we lose our trust in men, in friends, in clergy, in God, and in ourselves. I often hear women say, “I just don’t trust anyone.”

What if… you honored what your brain is doing – trying to protect you and help you see there is a reason to not trust. What if… it’s okay not to trust right now. What if… you just allowed yourself to honor the space you are in rather than thinking you have to or are supposed to be trusting.

The truth is, you are a trusting person and you had someone take advantage of that trust. Right now, its okay to allow space to just get your bearings again, to get a better grip on your own reality, and then… then we start the work of learning to trust again.
